Cafes
Cosy cafes are situated in and around the city centre, almost all on the square adding on an impromptu outdoor terrace section in summer time. You will find them also hidden in courtyards of the square and in surroundings street. They are a good point to start your day with coffee and delicious cakes before walking along monuments of the city or just to refresh your mind and body after last night. We present only a few of them which we recommend.
Cafes
Art Hidden at the back of a hallway and down some steps, this is one of Krakow's better kept secrets. The arched cellar decorated with bits of a dismantled church organ, overhead is good for a candle-lit coffee.
Rynek Główny,23, the Old Town, open from 8am

Camelot Tiny tables, squeaky floorboards and an assembly of watercolours provide plenty of charm, while the menu does the rest with an excellent collection of cakes, baguettes and salads.
Ul. Św. Tomasza 17, the Old Town, open from 9am

Carmel Coffee A charming coffee shop that wouldn't be out of place in an Oscar Wilde novel.. Lampshades, velvet curtains and giant sofas make this a sovereign choice for a long coffee with breakfast and cakes.
Ul. Św. Krzyża 12, the Old Town, open from 10am

Kolanko no.6 Timber beams, flickering candles and an antique dentist's chair provide a typically wacky Kazimierz décor. Cakes, crepes and salads are served to a background noise of light jazz and trancey tunes.
Ul. Józefa 17, Kazimierz, open from 12am
